Wildwood Cemetery

Ten acres of land was purchased in 1912 for a cemetery south of the Mississippi River in Cohasset. It was divided into two five acre lots, five acres for the Catholic faith and five acres for the Protestant denomination. In 1981 the first addition was completed with a thousand grave sites.

Maintaining Wildwood Cemetery is a source of civic pride. Memorial Day continues to be an important day at the cemetery and the Cohasset Public Works Department makes sure the grounds are beautifully kept. A perpetual care fund for the upkeep of the cemetery was set up decades ago and the City maintains the grounds in quiet beauty.
